Rich Halley 4
Fri, 2/7: Rich Halley 4 - Rich Halley has been described in print as one of the world's finest jazz tenor sax players! Halley is a saxophonist and composer who has released fifteen critically acclaimed recordings. The "Rich Halley 4" explores new spaces and approaches using the roots of American and world music as sources. Feb. 7th will be a release for their new CD "The Wisdom of Rocks". Their last CD, "Crossing the Passes", was on a number of lists of the best jazz recordings of 2013 including Down Beat magazine. As All About Jazz describes it: "The music's appeal is it's unusual and engaging mixture of structure and freedom". He will be joined by top notch musicians, Michael Vlatkovitch-trombone, Clyde Reed-bass, and Carson Halley-drums. The joint will be jumpin'! 8pm - $7
