Family Folk Chorale celebrates the music of Rani Arbo & daisy mayhem

Family Folk Chorale
Sunday, November 20, 2022, 4-6PM
Arlington Town Hall
730 Mass Ave, Arlington, MA

Harmony, rhythm, indelible songs  these are the hallmarks of Rani Arbo & daisy mayhem, the New England based folk quartet now in its 20th year. From the Newport Folk Festival to California World Music Festival and beyond, this band's steadfast brew of wit, camaraderie, and musicality leaves audiences everywhere humming and hopeful, spirits renewed.  They join the 60 voice Family Folk Chorale for an afternoon of unforgettable uplift and music making.

The Family Folk Chorale, Boston area's premier intergenerational chorus, is led by award-winning Artistic Director Chris Eastburn.  The Rani Arbo & daisy mayhem band will be joined by FFC band members - Gary Backstrom, front man of the legendary jam band Jiggle the Handle, and his son Jonah Backstrom.  Family Folk Chorale concerts are perfect for people of all ages.  We provide lyrics, opportunities to sing and dance along, and a floor seating area up front for young children.

"The Family Folk Chorale is what folk music is all about or what it should be all about  people coming together as a community, crossing generations, and singing because its what they love to do."

- Matt Smith, Manager,
legendary Club Passim, Harvard Square

Family Folk Chorale concerts are described by audience members as a musical "experience" or "happening" that hails to a time when live music was part of the daily fabric of home and community. These concerts are perfect for people of all ages - we provide lyrics, opportunities to sing and dance along, refreshments, and a floor seating area up front for young children.

The historic Arlington Town Hall is easily accessible by MBTA bus #77 from Harvard Square, or you'll find plenty of free, on-street and public lot parking on Sundays.  Walk to dinner after the concert at one of Arlington Center's eateries and cafes.
