Canzona - Academy Concerts at Saint Anthony Chapel
Canzona is an ensemble dedicated to bringing great music to Western PA churches.
Soprano Katy Williams and cellist Jake Nathanson join organist Nick Will and violinist Warren Davidson in the historic Saint Anthony Chapel on Troy Hill. The program of German and Austrian music pays tribute to the history of Troy Hill, ranging from charming works by Bach and Telemann to the romantic intensity of Josef Rheinberger and the mysticism of Sigfrid Karg-Elert. Mozart's sparkling "Exsultate, Jubilate" crowns the event.
The concert is approximately 75 minutes long and will be performed without an intermission.
Note: there is an ample parking lot right across the street from the chapel.
