Leroy Pierson and Andy Cohen
This one is special: Blues scholar and guitarist Andy Cohen is up from Memphis that weekend to give a workshop at the Folk School, so we took advantage of his visit to pair him with St Louis blues master Leroy Pierson. Their styles are a study in elegant contrasts: extensive repertoire, a wealth of experience from both gentlemen, and a privilege to hear. Big fun, a huge treat and an education in early blues styles.
