Canzona Women's Ensemble Singtime in Paris
Our spring concert features music from the City of Light spanning five centuries. We go from troubadour love songs of the 16th century to classical songs by Fauré and Boulanger from the 19th & 20th centuries to cabaret songs by Jacques Brel and Edith Piaf. To enliven the program, we will include songs from musical theatre set in Paris, including Fifty Million Frenchmen by Gershwin and Gigi by Lerner & Loewe. Canzona will be joined by accordion player Duane Inglish of Café Musique to add a true Gallic flavor to the afternoon. Vive l'amour and Ooh la la!
