Veronica Nettles and Rick Ferguson: A Concert of cello and piano sonatas!
A concert of cello & piano sonatas! The program will include sonatas by Bach, Myaskovsky and Poulenc. Cellist Veronica Nettles, a founding member of the Kaia String Quartet has performed throughout Canada and the USA in Classical, Jazz and World-Music genres, nurturing an interest in innovative collaborations in addition to the standard canon of classical repertoire. A two-time winner of the Alys R. Stephens Piano Competition, winner of an Obelisk Award for excellence in the performing arts and the inaugural winner of the Brazos Valley Young Artists Competition, Mr. Ferguson has a wide range of musical interests, from the standard repertoire to new music.
