Rheinberger's Mass in Eb
Josef Rheinberger's rarely performed, double-choir Mass in E-flat was written to counter a regressive, conservative movement in church music of his time. This concert is a milestone for In Medio, as we sing a major choral work for the first time and offer multiple commissioned works to respond to the Mass. In addition to the Mass, the concert will feature world premiers by composers Germán Barboza, Colin Cossi, and Margie Halloran.
