Advanced Workshop: Trauma-Informed, Holistic Legal Supervision
SESSION DESCRIPTION:
This is an application workshop for advocates who have attended the training session on Trauma-Informed, Holistic Legal Supervision on May 19 or July 19, 2022. In this workshop, advocates will work in small groups to apply supervision and management frameworks to relevant and complex hypotheticals designed to challenge supervisors while striving for trauma-informed supervision across identity and power differentials. Advocates will develop interpersonal skills in addition to applying systems and design thinking frameworks to their own approaches to supervision. This training is designed to deepen participants' learning through collaborative, small group application. Hypotheticals will be used from the legal services context; however, supervisors from other disciplines may benefit as well.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
Attorneys, legal workers, advocates, and organizers. Supervisors are the main target audience; however, supervisees may find this workshop useful in navigating their relationships with their supervisors.

SESSION MATERIALS:
All participants will be provided with a copy of the slide deck, a participant manual, and access to collaborative tools to enhance learning, such as Miro.

SESSION NOTE:
To attend this workshop, you MUST have attended Trauma-Informed, Holistic Legal Supervision on May 19 or July 19, 2022.
This workshop is identical to the workshop of the same name, scheduled for July 22, 2022. There is no need to register for both.
Capacity for this workshop is extremely limited to ensure effective facilitation of small groups.

CURRICULUM NOTE:
This is an interactive, 3-hour application workshop. This workshop will be conducted using both large-group discussions and small groups in break-out rooms. Participants of Application Workshops will have access to a Google Group and Discord to remain in contact with other participants. To attend an Application Workshop, you MUST have attended the corresponding training session.

RECORDING NOTE:
A recording will be available for viewing to registrants for 30 days.

NO CLE:
Due to the multidisciplinary nature of the training and the restrictions of CLE regulations, CLE credit is not available for this training.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
Due to the cost of producing facilitated workshops, only one ticket price is available for workshop attendance. Contact Lorilei at lorilei@lorilei.info to request financial assistance if this pricing is inaccessible for you.
