Park Slope Singers: Music to Restore Our Souls
Heres how we greet the summer and its promise of new beginnings. Take a handful of 16th century madrigals in French, Italian, and English (plus one from the 20th century.) Mix in some Americana, including a spiritual arranged by Moses Hogan; some peaceful late 20th century settings; a little Mendelssohn; and two works by Randall Thompson his contemplative Alleluia and joyful Ye Shall Have a Song. Voila! The Park Slope Singers present music to restore our souls.
