Mozart meets Vivaldi - Calgary
Bow Valley Chorus will showcase two great choral works: Mozart's Vespers K339 and
Vivaldi's Gloria for its first concert in over two years. These works are musically vibrant,
joyful and will fill the listener with a sense of hope for the future as we move forward
from these difficult times. The Vespers shows Mozart at his choral best, setting the
texts of the church evening service tohis youthful musical pathos. The Gloria (along
with his Four Seasons) has become one of Vivaldi's most popular works. These two
works perfectly complement each other, for an evening of beautiful music. Come and
join us!
Con Spirito Award winner, John Goulart will conduct Bow Valley Chorus, orchestra,
and soloists :Ainsley Soutiere soprano, Stephania Romaniuk mezzo, Steven Morton tenor,
and Adam Brousseau bass, in these choral masterpieces!
