Natalie Weiss & Friends Teach All-Day Broadway Workshop!

Aspiring Performers Ages 14 & Up Welcome! (Parents will not be permitted to observe.  They will be able to pick up children for the lunch break at 1:30.)

Date: Saturday, Feb 15th
Time: 10 am - 6:30 pm (w/ a 45 minute lunch break)
Location: Ripley-Grier Studios. 520 8th Ave. (between 36th and 37th)

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and stretch.  We will start promptly at 10 AM.  Short warm up will be provided.

*10:00 am - 2:00 pm:
Broadway professionals will teach participants the original choreography from 4 different Broadway shows. Participants will perform the combinations in small groups in a mock audition setting then professionals will provide participants with individual feedback.  Guest Broadway professionals will include: Ellyn Marie Marsh (Kinky Boots, Priscilla: Queen Of The Desert, Enron), Clay Thomson (Matilda, Newsies), Andrew Hodge (A Chorus Line, White Christmas), & Alicia Albright (Wicked). Please bring appropriate dance clothes and shoes (jazz shoes, character shoes, tap shoes [if you own], and sneakers.) In addition, please bring 4 copies of your headshot/resume. (Professional photos are welcome but not mandatory)

*2:00 - 2:45:
Lunch Break (Food will not be provided)

*2:45 - 5:30: (Participants can either stay in their dance clothes or change into street clothes for this portion)
Natalie Weiss will work one-on-one with 8 people(first come, first served basis) on 2 contrasting short songs from the Musical Theatre or Pop repertoire.  There will also be an interactive group "Breaking Down the Riffs" section of the class. (based on her popular web series)

*5:30 - 6:30:
Broadway professionals will give personal feedback about participants' headshots & resumes + hold an open Question & Answer forum. Participants will have the opportunity to pick our brains. Take the floor! We're here for you;)

***Registration:

PARTICIPANT PACKAGE A: $220 (includes morning dance workshop w/ Broadway pros, personal feedback, WORKING one-on-one with Natalie on your song in front of group + open Q & A forum) (Registration for this option caps at 8 participants- first come first served). **Please prepare 2 short songs from the musical theatre or pop repertoire & bring your book

PARTICIPANT PACKAGE B: $150 (includes morning dance workshop w/ Broadway pros, personal feedback, OBSERVING singers as they work one-on-one with Natalie on their song in front of group + open Q & A forum (Registration for this option caps at 22 participants)






~Natalie Weiss recently completed a 2 1/2 year run performing multiple ensemble roles on the Les Miserables 25th anniversary tour. In 2010, she made her Broadway debut understudying the Menonettes in Everyday Rapture, starring Sherie Rene Scott. She also performed in the ensemble and understudied Elphaba in the 2nd national tour of Wicked. Natalie was an American Idol season 4 semi-finalist, has performed the National Anthem at Cowboys & Shea Stadium, but is most well known for her Youtube videos. She has gained an international following from her performance videos & popular web series, "Breaking Down The Riffs", which have collectively reached over 3 million views. Natalie released her self-titled debut CD in early 2011 and has been giving sold out solo concerts and master classes across the country.~
