MAVERICKS AWARDS & Monophonics
The Mavericks Awards is a digital video performance contest where big wave surfers and videographers submit their best surf content of Mavericks. There are 3 categories for men and 3 categories for women with equal prize money for all. Categories include Biggest Wave, Ride of the Year and Performer of the Year. 60% of the prize money is paid to the athlete and 40% is paid to the photographer. Winners will be announced and celebrated at the Mavericks Awards, May 7th, 2022 at Old Princeton Landing in Half Moon Bay. Among many exciting things happening at this event the Monophonics, the world's premier psychedelic soul band, will be performing live at 7:30pm.
