Youth v Gov
YOUTH V GOV
Thursday, April 21st at 7pm
Not Rated, 110min - Free Admission
YOUTH v GOV is the story of the Juliana v. The United States of America constitutional lawsuit and the 21 American youth, ages 14 to 25, who are taking on the worlds most powerful government. Since 2015, the legal non-profit Our Children's Trust, has been representing these youth in their landmark case against the U.S. government for violating their constitutional rights to life, liberty, personal safety, and property through their willful actions in creating the climate crisis they will inherit.
But the YOUTH v GOV story is about more than just a lawsuit. It is the story of empowered youth finding their voices and fighting to protect their rights and our collective future. This is a revolution designed to hold those in power accountable for the past and responsible for a sustainable future. And many of the movements leaders aren't even old enough to vote yet.
Post-film panel with Our Childrens Trusts youth speaker, Dallin Rima and Senior Staff Attorney, Andrew Welle.
Presented for Earth Day in partnership with Swaner Preserve & Eco-Center as part of the Reel Community Series. Post-film panel
