Nonprofit Transitions: Mergers and Dissolutions
This legal training will cover the legal and issues and non-legal considerations that arise when a nonprofit is faced with a potential change in structure or goes through a formation transition like a merger or dissolution.
We will cover considerations when nonprofits are under stress and face potential transition, governance considerations, board responsibilities, employee options in transitions, and best practices.
Presenters will include attorneys with expertise on nonprofit structure and transitions and a nonprofit consultant who has expertise in nonprofit transitions and turnarounds. Speakers: Alan Smith, Perkins Coie; Peter Smith, The Apex Law Group; and Jan Glick, Jan Glick & Associates.
