Time in Our Voices
MPLS (imPulse) returns to live performances in 2022, partnering with the youth of ComMUSICation to present vocal works with texts by children. The ensemble will also perform Moira Smiley's Time in Our Voices for mixed chorus and mobile phone playback. On the scores opening page, the composer notes that the goal of the piece is: to explore the human voice as an expressive tool across a lifetime. This performance will feature music by both MPLS (imPulse) and ComMUSICation as well as collaborations between the two ensembles.
COVID-19 Protocols: As recommended by the state and county, we will require masks for all audience members and performers, regardless of vaccination status. In addition, audience members will be required at the door to show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or provide proof of a negative test from the past 72 hours. "Fully vaccinated" will be defined as two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
