Funding the Farm

Like many businesses, farms require capital to get started, to operate, and to grow and expand. Join us for a discussion of when, why and how to access capital as a farming entrepreneur. Neil Subhash of the Food Business Resource Center (FBRC) at Business Impact NW will present an overview of funding options available to farmers in different stages of business growth, including crowdfunding, grant funding, and business loans. This presentation is geared towards those who are thinking about starting a farm, or already farming, and curious about what it takes to qualify for loans and how to be prepared to meet with lenders when the time comes.

Neil joined the FBRC in 2020, where he works as the King County Farm Business Support Specialist. A program of Business Impact NW, the FBRC is a one-stop shop for Washington State food entrepreneurs to access skills, resources, networks, and marketplace opportunities to start, run, and grow your successful food-related business.
