Jolly Times: A Holiday Party with Jason Schommer and Harper's Chord!
The evening kicks off with holiday music by Harper's Chord at 7 PM with Jason Schommer taking the stage at 8 PM in a new, original holiday show "The 12 Confessions of Christmas".  Prudence from Bowlus will be making a special appearance to judge the ugly Holiday sweater contest.  All those attending the event are encouraged to dig out your ugliest holiday sweater and proudly wear it for a chance to win a prize!

"The 12 Confessions of Christmas" is a hilarious and outrageous look at the holiday season and all of its madness!  In 12 hysterical monologues, from such holiday icons as Frosty the Snowman, A Christmas Tree, a string of colored holiday lights, a candy cane, and a bouquet of Mistletoe to name just a few, we see Christmas and the holiday season through the eyes and witty voices of the season's most beloved characters and symbols.  An evening of seasonal cheer busting with wall to wall laughs and unexpected crazy moments.  "The 12 Confessions of Christmas" is a holiday show unlike any other!  Joining Jason in this world premiere theatre production are the Church Basement Carolers consisting of Vicki Spofford, Robyn Gray, Laurie Koll.

A special appearance by Prudence from Bowlus with her Holiday Letter will close out the show followed by more music by Harper's Chord.  Prudence made quite a splash when she crashed the Oasis Share-A-Meal fundraiser "The Church Basement Ladies Save the World" this past August and she is looking forward to making yet another trip to the big city of Little Falls for this special holiday event.

The Central Minnesota trio, Harper's Chord will be performing classic holiday standards as well as original songs.  Lead vocalist Jill Moore and musicians Paul Drinkwine and Roger Fink bring their captivating harmonies and country/folk sound to this special seasonal event.  Harper's Chord has recently released their first full-length CD, "Natural Bridge".

ARTIST BIOS:
Jason Schommer, recently named "What's Hot for 2013" by Campus Activities Magazine, is a stand up comedian who has spent the past two years as the opening act for Louie Anderson in Las Vegas.  Louie Anderson says "Jason is funny, clever, smart, and on his way to the big time!".  Laugh until you cry stories combine with playful one liners covering a wide array of topics ranging from the daily struggles of life to his lovable, yet kooky, Minnesota family.  Jason's unique comedy style ranges from observational humor based on his life, the world around us, and hilarious commentary of pop culture recounting hysterical true encounters with celebrities such as Katy Perry, Lady GaGa, and Dolly Parton to name a few.  Kathy Griffin even gave Jason a shout out in the middle of her show!  Jason began his adventures in stand up comedy while working for "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" in New York City.  The show's writers thought he was funny, so they signed him up to perform at the New York Comedy Club.  Jason easily won over the audience with his quick wit and energetic style.  Since then, Jason has quickly become an audience favorite at shows all over with rave reviews and a rapidly growing fan base.  Jason has directed such productions as "Grease", "Disney's Beauty and the Beast", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", and "Evita" to name a few and has appeared in "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Peter Pan", "Godspell", and "Annie" among many others.

Prudence from Bowlus is a lifelong resident of Bowlus, MN.  She enjoys attending "The Pioneer Women of Yesteryear Wilderness Camp", scrapbooking with friends, and traveling with her husband Earl to the many attractions throughout the Midwest such as the world's largest ball of twine in Dassel.

The music of Harper's Chord has a grass-roots, back porch, organic feel to it.  Drawing from their love of folk, blues, roots, Americana and country music.  Harper's Chord captivates audiences with strong, two and three part harmonies and easy-listening acoustic songs.  Popular groups found in a similar genre as Harper's Chord would include The Band Perry, Lady Antebellum, Dixie Chicks and Alison Krauss.  Jill Moore, Paul Drinkwine and Roger Fink are the talented trio that forms Harper's Chord.  Jill, the group's lead vocalist is a native Minnesota girl, but spent about eleven years traveling around much of the world as a professional singer and dancer.  Most recently appearing in musical stage productions in St. Cloud and Little Falls, Jill has often provided back-up vocals for other Rock House Studio recording artists.  Paul, a St. Cloud native, was raised in a musical family and has been a staple of the St. Cloud are music scene for over thirty years.  Paul plays almost anything with strings but focuses mainly on the guitar, mandolin, cello and viola.  His "finger-picking" style of playing adds incredible interest and depth to the trio's musicality.  Originally from Des Moines, IA, Roger moved to the St. Cloud area about 18 years ago.  his style of guitar playing is more rhythmic, giving their songs a strong backbone with a slight edginess and a wonderful bluesy feel.  Roger also grew up in a musical family and has been performing live music for 40 years.
