A Celtic Christmas
With Tom Creegan and Dale Russ
The Uilleann pipes, which are unique in all the world for their haunting lyric beauty, will begin our Christmas journey. Tom Creegan, master Uilleann piper, will be joined by the virtuosic fiddle player, Dale Russ. In addition, we are most fortunate to have harpists Jeri Howe and Claudia Walker in our midst, presenting beautiful Irish harp duets.
We will present new arrangements of the beautiful 9th Century chant O Come, O Come Emmanuel, and Once in Royal Davids City, which will be featured here with pipes, drums and choir. We will sing Fear an Bhata, a song in Gaelic arranged by Connie Dover, as well as traditional Wassail songs, Drive the Cold Winter Away and Carol of the Strangers.
