AN ARTISTIC CELEBRATION OF THE LONG NIGHTS MOON
A Mixed Media Art Sale and Concert To Support
The Main is happy to present An Artistic Celebration of The Long Nights Moon A mixed media art sale and concert on Saturday, December 18th to support Childrens Miracle Network. Featuring the music, story-telling, and visual art of 3-time Grammy winning artist Bill Miller. Tickets are $25 with $5 of EVERY TICKET going directly to Childrens Miracle Network!!! The celebration will open with an art viewing and sale starting at 4pm. A portion of all art sales will be donated to CMN!!! Music and Poetry will begin at 6pm, or shortly after. Tickets can be purchased at Downtown Mainstreet, GECU La Crosse, both Tree Huggers Co-op locations, as well as at the door. This event is sponsored in part by, Gundersen Health System, & The AmericINN Hotel and Conference Center Riverfront La Crosse.
The Incredible art doesnt stop with Bill Miller. Ashton Hall will be creating a live painting while the events unfold while also bringing in works to sell. The loving-ly acoustic, husband and wife duo, Sherri and Barry will kick off the musical portion of the night shortly after Poet, Peter Engen, reads a few original poems. The unbelievably talented Gittens siblings; Ed, Chick, & Annie will be displaying and selling their original paintings and prints. Penny Fassler, owner of Vision of Light Stained Glass, will be offering a colorful array of goods. Last, but certainly not least, photography from Mike Makes will round out the visual buffet.
Unless, of course, you consider the beauty of downtown La Crosses newest concert and event venue. In the former location of Christian youth organization, Crossfire; The Main An Event Space, known simply as, The Main, hopes to present a wide variety of vibrant, diverse, and exciting performances spanning the local, regional, and national entertainment spectrums. Original, exposed brick coupled with a newly remodeled feel help The Main seem more like a hip, happening, comedy or music club, than a Christian youth spot.
