Chicago Artists Chorale Presents Beautiful December
Chicago Artists Chorale is excited to announce its first live concert offering after two full years away! Beautiful December will feature an ensemble of 16 CAC singers, as well as several selections sung by our larger CAC community.
The program will be conducted by Founding Artistic Director Tom Vendafreddo, and he will be joined by Maria Honigschnabel (piano), Jocelyn Butler Shoulders (cello), and Emily Rohm (soprano).
The 75-minute concert will be presented without an intermission at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, in the heart of Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. The program will feature an eclectic mix of choral music, ranging from standard choral classics to stunning contemporary works. The repertoire will explore the many different facets of December: Joy, Light, Mystery, Peace, Beauty and Hope. Tickets: $25 General Admission; $10 Student/Industry
St. Vincents follows current Archdiocesan COVID safety guidelines. A mask should be worn indoors regardless of vaccine status and social distancing between parties will be expected. Ushers will help parties maintain distance.
Chicago Artists Chorale (CAC) was established in 2014 in response to members of Chicago's rich theatre community looking for an outlet to express themselves through the art of choral music. Since its induction, the group has grown to over 60 singers and expanded to include a variety of artists including actors, directors, choral and theatre educators, stage managers, video game music composers, music directors, sign language interpreters, and more.
Under the direction of Artistic Director Tom Vendafreddo, CAC performs at venues such as Old St. Pat's, Chicago Temple, Athenaeum Theatre, The Nettelhorst School, and St. Vincent DePaul. The group has also appeared on WGN Morning News, WGN Midday News, and on the radio with Dean Richards Sunday Morning. In 2015, CAC became a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission consists of expanding the artistic experiences of its singers and its audience members.
