A Harrowing World: Dance, Poetry, & Song
Hixon Dance joins forces with award-winning poet Maggie Smith to present a sumptuous evening of original dance, live new music, and poetry. Based on six of Smith's compelling works, the dance explores sororal and maternal relationships, the way we create shelter through our experiences, and how the past shapes our perspective of the world. Original commissioned music by local composers Jacob Reed and Lauren Spavelko will be performed live by Sean Ferguon, Chelsea Hart Melcher, Paul Melcher, and Jenna Hunnicut. Don't miss this innovative collaboration!
