The Red Dirt Boys in Concert with special guest Amanda Shaw.
The Red Dirt Boys in concert Thursday June 23, 2022 at The Barn in Columbus, MS.
The collaborative efforts of these four gentlemen cover several decades, and their overlapping bands and projects brought them to the attention of Emmylou Harris, who named them after her Red Dirt Girl record. When the band asked her if they could use the name Red Dirt Boys for their debut record, she replied, Only if I can sing on it.
Chris Donohue, Will Kimbrough, Phil Madeira, and Bryan Owings are the Red Dirt Boys.
The band still tours with Emmylou, and besides serving their special brew of New Orleans-influenced music, they collaborate on the solo efforts of Phil Madeira and Will Kimbrough.
Infectiously happy to be together, the joy that exudes from the stage when these dear friends perform together is palpable. You can cut it with a knife.

Music has been engrained into Amanda Shaws world for as long as she can remember. That exposure greatly paid off as the Louisiana-raised musician has carved out her place
in Cajun culture, and has become one of the most recognizable brands in Louisiana music. From national appearances on the Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, the Today Show's Roker-thon and the Rosie ODonnell Show, to a once in lifetime performances with Cyndi Lauper, Shaw's magnetic presence helped her to build an extraordinary following of fans and supporters. Younger fans look up to Shaw for her pristine fiddling skills and sassy sense of style, while order fans respect her strong work ethic and sincere sensibility, but audiences of all ages agree that Shaws musical talent and appealing personality give her a special flair and make her an incredible representative of Louisianas melting pot of music.

Free finger foods, soft drinks, beer, water and snacks will be available for our guests. A Donation Jar on the food table will go to benefit the Golden Triangle Youth Theatre.
