Burn City String Quartet Concert
The Burn City String Quartet is a Phoenix-based ensemble dedicated to performing music from the celebrated historical quartet repertoire alongside music created by the current generation of composers and performers. The heart of the quartet is here in the Sonoran Desert, and the quartet has a special vision and mission to highlight music with its roots in Arizona.
This program includes Maurice Ravel's celebrated String Quartet, composed in 1903, recent works by local composers Alejandro Pruneau and Bryson Largo, and "Southern Harmony" by 2010 Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Jennifer Higdon.
