Tri-County Symphonic Band Concert - Blazing the Trail: Women Lighting the Way - 50% of all online ticket sales will go directly to Lighting the Way
Greetings and welcome to the 60th concert season of the Tri-County Symphonic
Band! Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for our grand comeback appearance.
The Sunday, October 24th (3:00 PM) opening concert, Blazing the Trail: Women
Lighting the Way will be a collection of compositions by living female composers
and a vintage offering from a 19th century woman composer. Our soloist,
clarinetist Pattie Marshall, will be performing the energetic as well as beautifully
lyrical Rhapsody for Solo Clarinet by Anne McGinty. These works will be
paired with seven historic female leaders from our area who were pathfinders in
their day and represented the forward motion that has thrusted the important works
of women in all walks of life into the limelight. Their unique stories will be told at
the concert as we celebrate their trailblazing achievements. This concert will be
held at the Old Rochester Regional High School in Mattapoisett, MA.
Please note our COVID-19 Policy:
For Patrons:
Masks are required at all times by all audience members
Social distancing is strongly encouraged within the auditorium, except families may sit together
No food or drinks permitted by concert goers
No proof of vaccination required - subject to change based on ORR, Mattapoisett or state mandates
If you are unwell, or experiencing cold or flu symptoms - please do not attend the concert
If you have been exposed, or in close contact with someone who is unwell or who has tested positive for COVID - please do not come to the concert. We encourage folks in this category to follow the CDC guidelines, i.e. If youve had close contact with someone who has COVID-19, you should get tested 3-5 days after your exposure, even if you dont have symptoms. You should also wear a mask indoors in public for 14 days following exposure or until your test result is negative. You should isolate for 10 days if your test result is positive. While waiting for a negative test or self isolating - please do not come to the concert.
