A Piper summer is all about adventure!
At Piper, children spend the month of July creating worlds of imagination and wonder at the Old Stone House & Washington Park. Under the guidance of John P. McEneny and our extraordinary teachers, students will create full-scale productions this summer, performed outdoors on our professional stage.
Days are filled with physical theatre; 'specials' classes on stage combat, clowning, improvisation and puppetry; and 'Fun Fridays,' when the entire Piper community plays group games, engages in a process drama, or sees a film!
In a new collaboration this year, we are partnering with Off The Page for a devised workshop where students create the show.
Popular Piper Intensives in Shakespeare and Film are back, this year we've added an Advanced Piper Workshop, and the musical is.Hair!
The Starlings, our two-week program for younger children, will delve into Grimm with a Twist, Cyrano de Bergerac, A Midsummer Night's Dream and a Devised Workshop based on the work of James Thurber.
