Bemidji Symphony Orchestra presents "Holiday Celebrations & Messiah Sing-along!"
The Bemidji Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Beverly Everett, continues its 75th anniversary season with "Holiday Celebrations & Messiah Sing-along!" on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 7:30 PM at the Bemidji High School Auditorium.
Selections from George F. Handel's Messiah will feature soloists Dr. Corey Renbarger (Assistant Professor of Music, Bemidji State University) along with BSU vocal program students Luke Barnard, Lorrisa Craigmile, Anna DeJong, and Caitlin Rogers. Audience members will be invited to join the orchestra on stage for Messiah sing-along choruses. Those planning to sing are encouraged to bring their own Messiah music scores to the concert. A number of scores will be available at the door for those who need them. The concert will also include holiday favorites such as Sleigh Ride, White Christmas, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Let it Snow, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, Carol of the Drum, Leroy Anderson's Christmas Festival and others. Also on the program are Johann Bach's Chorale Prelude, Wachet Auf and Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring.
