Bird's Nest Presents Barry Warren & The Benny Watson Trio
Lyricist, vocalist and educator Barry Warren has a unique approach to songwriting. He takes well known jazz tunes, previously only known as instrumentals and writes lyrics which are clever, soulful and often quite amusing. He has recently been recruited to teach a lyric writing class at The Jazz School in Berkeley, CA.
Pianist/accompanist Benny Watson is a favorite of many fine Bay Area Singers. This may have something to do with the fact that he is always fun and his playing is frequently brilliant.
