Jenn Butterworth with Alice Allen at Edinburgh FC / EFC
Jenn Butterworth is becoming a household name in the world of trad accompaniment, recognised for a powerful guitar style that is driving and full of empathy. Over the years, she has worked with many of the UKs top folk artists, including powerhouses Kinnaris Quintet, Ross Ainslie & Ali Hutton and Songs of Separation. In recent years she has been awarded Musician of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards, and nominated for the same title at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
While working on songs for her much-anticipated solo album, Jenn began collaborating with cellist Alice Allen, who has a wealth of classical and folk experience behind her and is sought after in the trad scene and beyond for her creativity and rhythmic groove. Together, theyll be performing a brand new show of songs and guitar-cello tunes.
