The Low Anthem, vio/miré, Family Planning
Providence's The Low Anthem combines folk and blues arrangements with the elegance of chamber music and the fervor of gospel. Known for their song-writing and revolving multi-instrumentalism, The Low Anthem's "solemnly beautiful" (Rolling Stone) and "astonishingly innovative" (Paste) music has only continued to gain notice since the trio last-played a sold-out show at SPACE in 2011. The Low Anthem is joined by fellow Rhode Island musicians vio/miré, kindred spirits in finely wrought chamber folk, and Family Planning, a new idiosyncratic folk project based here in Portland.
