Night At The Movies

Piedmont JAZZ Alliance presents Night at the Movies with New York jazz vocalist Svetlana and New York Jazz Collective. Svetlana and her award-winning band will present artistic renditions of favorite silver screen classics and original compositions from her chart-topping album, Night At The Movies.

Night at the Movies is a deeply personal project inspired by the singer's experience growing up in Moscow, Russia where American films provided a blissful escape. The performance will take listeners on a musical journey of innovative jazz arrangements of film music that spans a century of cinema ranging from the American Movie classics, and Soviet Cinema, to modern-day Academy Award-winners, and Animated films.

Svetlana, along with the Jazz Collective that includes William Delisfort - piano, Henry Conerway III - drums, Adi Meyerson - bass, will deliver an exciting charismatic performance, and engaging storytelling that both celebrates the jazz tradition and furthers the art form, creating an exciting audience experience.
