ONE OF THE GREATEST TREASURES AS A GUITARIST - NAJEE
Named one of our greatest treasures as a guitarist by Najee and "amazingly talented" by Dave Koz, guitarist Blake Aaron has returned with his fifth full length album "Color and Passion", on Innervision Records.
The album has already spawned three #1 hit singles on the Billboard chart:
Groovers and Shakers feat. Darren Rahn Fall for You Sunday Strut feat. Najee
and one #1 single on the Radiowave / Groove Jazz charts for all of 2019:
Color and Passion is already feeling like a greatest hits record. A Billboard #1 producer himself, Aaron teams up with hit producers Darren Rahn ("Groovers and Shakers") and Adam Hawley (Sunday Strut).
The hit Groovers and Shakers, a funky, catchy but harmonically rich jam featuring Rahns signature sax stacks, almost didnt happen. Another single was finished and ready to be sent to radio a few weeks before and Aaron received a great track with no melody from saxophonist Darren Rahn. I literally had minutes to record a guitar melody before I left on vacation, but Darrens track was so good that it inspired a melody right away and we switched up singles at the last minute. Blake and Darren teamed up again with another #1 collaboration, Drive, the high-energy, pulsating smooth jazz theme song for your summer drive featuring Darrens brother Jason Rahn on Flugelhorn. And just weeks before Color and Passion was to be mastered and manufactured, Aaron teamed up with fellow hit guitarist and producer Adam Hawley for Sunday Strut, the uptempo, brass infused bounce featuring smooth jazz horn guru, David Mann and long-time friend and frequent concert partner, legendary saxophonist, Najee.
