Abandon Quest at the Wolf House
Bella Luna Studios at the Wolf House presents Abandon Quest. Abandon Quest is a newly formed band on a quest of performing their favorite tunes from video game soundtracks. Abandon Quest's eclectic instrumentation lends well to playing in a variety of genres from jazz fusion, funk, metal, rock, and world music. Their pieces pay homage to the source material and are creatively arranged, featuring solos and twists on the original melodies.

Having traveled far and wide, Jimmy the bard landed himself in Minnesota to play the keys. Constantly enamored by music from video games, he sought out fellow minstrels who knew these secret arts. Jimmy recruited Andy, his keytar ninja companion he had previously jammed with, and Mike, the resourceful guitar playing rogue, along on the quest for video game musical excellence. Playing video game music together started as a jest, but the trio discovered the magic hidden within lead sheets. Thus the group Overworld was formed.
They soon met the bass player ranger, Uncle Dan, while wandering the wilds of VGM Con. Shortly after, Mike enticed Colin, a druid famous for summoning lightning into his drums, to join the quest as well. Overworld performed their first gig during VGM Cons Sidequest event in December of 2020 to which the peoples proclaimed high art, yaaaaas, and my face is officially melted. With their first boss beaten, Overworld shifted their sights to gaining more companions for their task
Uncle Dan was working as a sage at an institution of rock music. One day he was playing a video game song on piano, and the newest employee, Uchenna, burst into the room. The multi-instrumentalist warlock had a thirst for knowledge, and signed a pact to join the quest. The six travelers took up a new moniker, Abandon Quest (as they are, quite literally, a-band-on a quest) and put together an impressive 55-minute concert for VGM Conline in April of 2021.
Also performing separately at VGM Conline, was the sorceress Becca, with an oddly shaped flute staff. Uchenna lured her out of the safeties of her libraries, and onto the quest, completing its members at the odd number of seven. After all, seven is the most powerfully magical number.
The seven questers have recently performed at 2D Con in August of 2021, and have created splendid arrangements on their YouTube channel.
