2021 Yachats Celtic Music Festival HAS BEEN CANCELLED!
The Yachats Celtic Music Festival is returning for its 20th year , Nov. 12, 13 and 14, 2021. The event is held in the beautiful Oregon coast town of Yachats. This festival is a delight for young and old. If you are not familiar with Celtic music, it is the grandparent of many of our American music genres. This year the festival is presenting 6 bands with more than a dozen unique performances.
Bands and artists excited to perform include, Altan, Ciarán Curran, Winifred Horan Quartet, Dan Houghton Trio, Kalos, Mark Kelly, Lisa Lynne & Aryeh Frankfurter, Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, Katie McNally Trio, Martin Tourish, Mark Kelly, Ryan McKesson, Eric McDonald , Jeremiah McLane , Elias Alexander , Owen Marshall, and Maldon Meehan
Continuing with the popular daytime "pub style" format , the doors will open Friday at noon with free Celtic entertainment in the Commons. Free and ticket required concerts, workshops, jamming, dancing and surprises takes place all weekend in various venues around town. Celtic inspired food and beverages will be available in the Commons during the festivities. The village embraces this festival and many Yachats shops and restaurants show their Celtic enthusiasm during the weekend. Experience the magic of watching the sunset at the edge of the earth , while listening to the Piper on the Point . Also returning this year is a special Sunday afternoon concert, This concert will follow the always popular free Sunday morning Ceili dance workshop and community dance.
