Juke Joint All-Stars at FatCat Ballroom in Phoenix - The music of Wynonie Harris
Join us for an evening of fantastic live music! The Juke Joint All Stars will be at FatCat to perform the music of Wynonie Harris, considered to be the grandfather of Rock and Roll. His jump blues hits are great for dancing. His music included "Good Rockin' Tonight", "Keep on Churnin'", "All She Wants to do is Rock", and many more that you will just love.
The All Stars so convincingly recreate the sound, swing and feel of the original tunes that there are moments when you're convinced that Wynonie is, for this concert at least, inhabiting, the voice and spirited performance of Johnny "Juke Joint" Strasser. The soaring sax lines and solos by Hurricane Carla and Alex "the Rev" Flores never let the music drag for even one second. This will be a show not to miss.
