2021 Lafayette Police K9 Golf Scramble
The Lafayette Police Department K9 Division is hosting a golf scramble fundraiser at the West Lafayette County Club on October 9th, 2021. We are looking to accomplish the following goals:
-Raise money to offset the cost of purchasing and outfitting one K9 unit
-Create a fun and welcoming event to promote positive relationships between the Lafayette Police and the community we serve
In 2020, the Lafayette Police K9 Division saw the retirement of two of its beloved K9s due to age. These K9s are now enjoying retirement life at home with their handlers. The cost to purchase and train a K9 unit is approximately $16,000, and that does not include the cost of food or veterinarian bills for the K9s career. With your help, the City of Lafayette can add another K9 unit to keep the city safe.
The registration fee is $400.00 per team of four. The fee covers 18 holes, cart fee, lunch, dinner, and an event t-shirt for each player.
All proceeds go through the Lafayette Police Foundation which is a 501C3 non-profit organization.
