Naptown Roller Girls Season 8 Home Opener:Bout #1
Showtime!
We're kicking off our eighth home season with a double-header on December 28th, 2013 at the Marsh Blue Ribbon Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
The night will begin with the Warning Belles taking on the South Bend Roller Girls. While the two teams have not met before, the South Bend Studebreakers defeated the Naptown Third Alarm 116-121 back in February of 2012 in South Bend. This will be a fantastic kick-off to a great night of derby with the Belles rostering a host of newcomers.
The second bout of the night pits your internationally-ranked Tornado Sirens against Indianapolis' premiere men's derby team, the Race City Rebels. Both teams have scrimmaged and played in mash-up bouts prior, but have never squared off against one another.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the first bout starting at 6:00 p.m.
Partial proceeds from this bout will go to the National Kidney Foundation. Their mission is to prevent kidney and urinary tract disease, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of organs for transportation.
Our after-party will be at Birdy's Bar and Grill. Cover is $5, with proceeds going to the N.K.F.
