FUTURE 5.19
SOLI will explore the FUTURE with the music of some of the hottest emerging composers of the coming age. SOLI is thrilled to introduce San Antonio audiences to these young, highly sought after American talents and their music as they stand on the brink of huge careers: Caroline Shaw - the youngest composer to receive the Pulitzer Prize, composer and conductor Scott Ordway, San Antonio's own Niccolo Athens and Yvonne Freckmann, And poet composer and conductor Matthew Aucion. SOLI will give the World Premiere of a new work by Aucion based on poet Paul Celan's haunting poems that will feature SOLI's favorite dynamic mezzo-soprano, Tynan Davis.
