Our first live concert will be staged at Nelson Vineyards Redwood Grove. We are trying to present most of our 2022 l artists for live performances in the Mendocino College Center Theater, and we are delighted to have booked the amazing Chanticleer ensemble.  There may be limited seating under CDC Covid guidelines.

Los Tangueros del Oeste, nuevo tango ensemble (October 24, 2021 at 2pm) at Nelson Family Vineyards Redwood Grove, weather permitting,
Sascha Jacobsen is a bassist who loves expanding on traditional forms. He hails from an illustrious musical family dating back at least five generations, including a bassist for the Moscow Opera in the early 19th century. He's explored his passion for tango in ensembles like the Musical Art Quintet and Trio Garufa. His latest project, Los Tangueros del Oeste, might be his most adventurous yet.
Their performances feature bandoneon, guitar, violin, analog synthesizer, and tango dancers. Los Tangueros is steeped in the nuevo tango styles of Astor Piazzolla, Gotan Project, and  Bajo Fondo. The band's singular nuevo tango sound is cool and impassioned, sensuous, seductive and utterly dance-inducing.

Chanticleer, World famous men's chorus (February 6, 2022 at 2PMm)
The GRAMMY Award-winning vocal ensemble Chanticleer has been hailed as the world's reigning male chorus by The New Yorker, and is known around the world as an orchestra of voices for its wide-ranging repertoire and dazzling virtuosity.  Founded in San Francisco in 1978 by singer and musicologist Louis Botto, Chanticleer quickly took its place as one of the most prolific recording and touring ensembles in the world, selling over one million recordings and performing thousands of live concerts to audiences worldwide.

Lindsay Garritson, pianist (re-scheduled for March 13, 2022 at 2pm)
Lindsay has performed throughout the United States and abroad since the age of four. She has appeared as soloist with major orchestras throughout the United States and internationally. An award-winning performer, Lindsay has received top prizes at numerous international piano competitions and was invited as one of thirty participants internationally to compete in the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. She was soon after selected as one of six finalists worldwide for the German Piano Award in Frankfurt. A native of the St. Louis area,  Lindsay currently resides in Miami, Florida, where she is completing a doctorate at the University of Miami.

Le Vent Du Nord, world music band (May 15, 2022 at 2pm)
The award-winning and highly acclaimed band Le Vent du Nord is a leading force in Quebec's progressive francophone folk movement. The group's vast repertoire draws from both traditional sources and original compositions, while enhancing its hard-driving soulful music (rooted in the Celtic diaspora) with a broad range of global influences. The group exhibits great finesse and flexibility. On stage these friends create intense, joyful and dynamic live performances that expand the bounds of tradition in striking global directions. This is the modern sound of tradition, a music of the here and now.

This ticket offer represents a 40 percent discount over the single ticket price. Season membership is available until October 24, 2021 and includes these four fabulous concerts, plus special members-only events.(Covid protocols allowing)
