Romantasy Cabaret closes out the year and another successful season with their third New Year's Eve Masquerade Ball.
Lauded as a "veritable buffet of naughty pleasures" by Arizona Reporter, this bawdy and beautiful show has received such awards as Phoenix New Times Best of Phoenix award for Best Vaudeville Entertainment, runner up for Best Local Performing Art Troupe by East Valley Tribune in 2011, and Best Performance Troupe by the City of Tempe for 2012. VaVaVoom, the showgirls of Romantasy Cabaret, won 2nd place for Best Performance, Group/Duo Category at the Albuquerque Burlesque and Sideshow Spectacular in 2012.
Each Romantasy Cabaret show combines dazzling cabaret acts with saucy songstresses, vaudeville variety, low brow comedy skits, impressive dance ensembles and tantalizing burlesque numbers. The New Year's Eve show builds on the old favorite cabaret show by adding a live music played by Whiskey Kiss. The band will play swing and rockabilly dance music between each cabaret set and after the cabaret's midnight champagne toast. With vibrant stage lighting, powerful music selections, impressive costumes and an engaging, brassy emcee, this show presents more glitz and glamor, and promises to be one of the most sought-after tickets for New Year's Eve.
Since the event is a masquerade Ball, fans are encouraged to be part of the ambiance by dressing up in sumptuous gowns, dapper suits and ties, fanciful masks, or in their best out-on-the-town duds. In fact, some show numbers even include willing audience members, so attendees should look their best if attending this soiree.
Joe's Grotto, the cabaret's venue, will be decorated for a glamorous affair. Party favors will be provided in the VIP areas and a bubbling champagne toast will commence at midnight. Every seat is a good seat at Joe's Grotto since the venue's stage is large and raised. Photography and videography of the show is not allowed. However, patrons are welcome to take photos during the breaks and outside on the patio of the venue. The cast will also come out after the show for a meet n greet and for photo opportunities with fans.
Romantasy Cabaret urges advance purchase of tickets as seats will sell out. General Admission tickets will also be available at the door, if space allows, for sale and if space allows, when the doors open at 8:30p.m.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early for pre-show entertainment, with a fire eater, a roving magician, a stilt walker and more. Tasty hot food will be offered for sale by a local, mobile food merchant. Cash sales are encouraged for these sumptuous food cart eats. The full scale cabaret show begins at 9:30p.m.
Due to the nature of Romantasy Cabaret's themes and material and due to the fact that shows are presented in establishments that sell alcohol, Romantasy Cabaret is for adults 21 and up. Absolutely NO photos or filming of any kind unless a formal press pass has been issued prior to the event.
