Cory Chisel's An Evening of Holiday Mischief
Cory Chisel and the Wild Rovers makes their return to Yorkville, IL for a special Christmas Concert. Once again teaming up with Rogue Barrister Records and Three Angels Brewing, this evening of music and fellowship will be one for the ages. Coming off of their sold out appearance along the Yorkville Riverfront in August which included surprise appearances from Norah Jones and Bucky Baxter, the Rovers will be ready to spread their Holiday cheer. Expect performances by Nashville based Cory Chisel & Adriel Denae as well as the New York based band The Candles and special guests.
Cory Chisel originally from Appleton, WI has gone on to become a critically acclaimed recording artist who has been praised by Rolling Stone and The New York Times; played festivals such as Glastonbury, Bonnaroo and Newport Folk Festival; appeared on Jimmy Fallon, The Tonight Show with David Letterman and Conan; and opened for artists such as Norah Jones, Emmylou Harris, Jackson Browne, Lucinda Williams and more.
The Candles recently completed a world tour with Norah Jones. Now, fresh off the release of their new album La Candelaria, they have been touring with the Wild Rovers
and building new fans at a frantic pace all across the Midwest. Front man Josh Lattanzi has played with the likes of the Lemonheads, Ben Kweller, and Albert Hammond Jr.
The event will hosted by the Kendall County Historical Society at Lyon Farm just east of Yorkville. Lyon Farm is nestled on 39 wooded acres and is the site of several historic buildings from around Kendall County which have been relocated to the farm. The fine folks at Lyon Farm will have the exhibition hall decorated for the season in anticipation of this Christmas event.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 8:00 p.m. The capacity of the venue is about 1/3 of the overall attendance at the Riverfront Concert so make sure you get your tickets early. The event will be BYOB so make sure you pack your favorite beverages to enjoy while you take in the amazing music. It is an all ages show and children 13 and under will be admitted at no charge as long as they are accompanied by a parent. It is general admission and only a small amount of seating will be available. No outside chairs will be allowed.
