This training will strengthen understanding of the interaction between developmental and environmental factors upon early childhood mental health issues, specifically behavioral concerns. Participants will learn about developmental milestones and how these milestones are used to assess developmental delays and prodromal mental health concerns. We will discuss environmental and biological influences on behavior, as well as commonly occurring mental health diagnoses in children under the age of 12 years. Finally, empirically-evidenced treatment options will be reviewed.
