Bellevue College Theatre Arts Presents:
An original play written by BC students with director Tammis Doyle. SafeHouse is about women who flee dangerous conditions to seek a better life. Each character is alone yet must trust those she does not know on her journey to freedom and safety. Although comprised mostly of monologues the characters talk across time and space to give each other hope.
SafeHouse is an original script in which women confront abuse, rape, murder and oppression due to their gender, sexual orientation, religion and ethnicity or race and may include slurs, epithets and depictions or descriptions of physical, sexual and emotional abuse, mental health issues and suicide.
