The popular Jazz series is coming back to The Players!
The first of this series features one of our own Players, George Coleman, Jr. with The George Coleman Jr. Quartet and Special Guest, Don Braden.

GEORGE COLEMAN JR.: Descended from Jazz royalty, George's mother was an associate of Billy Holiday and a bassist with Duke Ellington Orchestra as a teenager. His father George Sr., was an alumnus of the influential Miles Davis Quintet. Like his parents, George Jr. displayed a penchant for the arts and was accepted into New York's prestigious High School of Music and Art. His musical studies culminated in concert appearances at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and tours throughout Europe and Asia. George is also a film producer and is in post-production with his first feature documentary about his musical family entitled, Another Kind Of Soul: The Coleman Family Legacy.
George Coleman Jr. is also a member of The Players.
DON BRADEN is a musician of the highest caliber. For many years he has toured the world not only leading his own ensembles, but also as a special guest, and as a sideman with greats such as Betty Carter, Wynton Marsalis, Freddie Hubbard, Tony Williams, Roy Haynes, and many others. He has composed music for everything from duo to full symphonic orchestra, in many styles for recordings, film and television, and worked several years as composer for Bill Cosby. Don studied both engineering and music at Harvard University and his is also a world renowned educator, having spent nearly two decades giving master classes at countless schools and universities and running first class educational programs such as the Lichtfield Jazz Camp and Wachovia Jazz for Teens.
