Black Olive Babes
Black Olive Babes - their sultry rhythms and soul-stirring melodies create a dance and trance-inducing groove that carries you from the shores of the Black Sea to the foothills of the Appalachians. Founded by 20-year Kitka Womens Vocal Ensemble veteran Juliana Graffagna, BOB features some of San Francisco areas most innovative interpreters of Southern Balkan and Middle Eastern traditional music. BOBs collective experience includes national and international touring, membership in Bay Area super groups Brass Menazeri, The Toids, Edessa, Stellamara and Gamelan X, and performances with the likes of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares and Madonna.
