Queer As Funk is Vancouver's own all queer Motown/Soul/Funk band - guaranteed to get you dancing. This 8 piece ensemble including horn section plays all your favourites, from Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin, to Cee Lo Green and Amy Winehouse.

Founded in 2003 out of a passion for the genuine DIY pin-up grrl culture, Sweet Soul strives to raise the bar by creating fun, ground-breaking burlesque performances that are of unequaled production value. From ribbon staffs to giant venus fly traps to fire tricks to life-sized jack-in-the boxes, each Sweet Soul dancer has spent years individually crafting her own persona & performance style. Get ready for a vibrant mash-up of classic striptease with elements of hiphop, underground dance culture & punk rock.

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION:

The only entrance this event is using is accessible. There are no stairs to the bathrooms and they are larger than the other standard stalls but do not have a 5'x5' free turning space, allowing for straight in/out only which makes transferring difficult. The bar is located to the left of the stage on the same level as the dance floor.
