Field to Market: Harvesting, Displaying & Selling 
Looking to improve sales at next year's farmers markets?  Join the Small Acreage Program for this workshop to learn effective practices and strategies for getting your crops out of the field and into the hands of your customers.  With a focus on small scale producers selling at farmers markets, this workshop will cover:  Harvesting: * Setting up a harvesting operation * Harvesting practices to preserve freshness & food safety * Optimal harvesting times and storage requirements Displaying: * What makes a successful display * Creating your identity and distinguishing your farm * Display principles and Do's & Don'ts Selling:  * Engaging customers and building relationships * Setting prices * Promotional tactics
  This workshop is put on by the Small Acreage Program which is made possible by joint sponsorship from WSU Clark County Extension and Clark County Environmental Services Clean Water Program.
