SOMEDAY GIRL- Amanda Abizaid and Lindsay Gillis
Someday Girl is a songwriting duo headed by accredited songwriter and vocalist Amanda Abizaid and songwriter and musician Lindsay Gillis. Currently residing in Los Angeles, CA. now together creating music of all genres, Amanda and Lindsay have a musical chemistry that has come very naturally together. Within the first couple of months of writing several songs together, Someday Girl scored an end theme song to a British film now in Pre-production.
Amanda Abizaid - Bio As a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist piano, guitar, and flute Amanda is best known as the captivating vocalist on the theme song "A Place In Time" from Paramount's The 4400, the featured song "Dreams in Ashes" from Lifetime Television's Odd Girl Out, as well as other featured songs. Amanda also composed and sang movie theme songs for "3 Below", "13th Alley", and "Facing the Lion", by writer director, Joe Plonsky, and executive producer, Scott Spiegel, in which she also stars. In 2009, her CD, This Life debuted on FMQB.com's ACQB Adult Contemporary Chart at #2 Most Added on July 27, 2010, beating out Plain White Ts, Heart, and Katy Perry.
Amanda is currently a board member for 4-Africa http://www.4-africa.org fulfilling her desire to give back, encourage and help the youth, men and women of African communities through the support and inspiration of music. Amanda helps 4-Africa.org raise funds through local concerts where she performs with other participating musicians of all stripes and genres, and looks for to the possibility of going to African villages in the near future to teach the joys of music.
Amanda remains a performing artist with Daniel Pearl Foundation for 5 years, an organization to which she dedicates all of her shows to in October of every year, a member of the Soka Gakkai International USA (The Buddhist Association for Peace, Culture and Education) for 5 years (http://www.sgi-usa.org), and The American Victory Orchestra for 2 years (https://www.facebook.com/AmericanVictoryOrchestra).
Lindsay Gillis Bio A musician/guitarist from Echo Park, CA. Lindsay cut his recording chops after hours at El Dorado Studios when it was at Hollywood/Vine. He played gigs at the Starwood, Wong's Chinatown and Sunset Strip haunts and played many sessions for Ron Fair's early productions. Local bands include: The Weeb, Broken Toys, JJ Jackson, Morris Wade, John Garretson.
