Lyric Opera Northwest proudly presents the American debut of a national treasure of mainland China, the stupendous countertenor (male soprano) Ma Xiao, singing the "pants" role of Cherubino. I have never heard a countertenor sing this role, as it is normally sung by (female) mezzosopranos. The effect of a male performing it is stunning! This is a MUST see! for Lyric Opera Northwest patrons!
