Join us for an evening of music from haunting to hypnotic, hallowed to harrowing, with supernatural-themed and inspired experimental works old and new. Located in a beautiful, candle-lit stone cellar, the Permutations series offers a portrait of Ghost Ensemble with portentous echoes of things to come.

This event is a fundraiser for the ensemble's upcoming recording projects; additional donations are gratefully accepted. A reception with wine and refreshments will follow the concert.

including two world premieres.

Ghost Ensemble seeks to create experiential music. We see the greatest music as a transcendent bridge between worlds such music is naturally experienced sensually and intuitively rather than intellectually. It is fulfilling because it moves beyond informing, entertaining, or "interesting" our minds and creates a complete experience. Thus, rather than focusing on a particular time period or genre, we look toward the essence of the music's effect. Curating the full atmosphere of each event, Ghost Ensemble explores both traditional and non-traditional venues to expand the musical experience; the familiar becomes unfamiliar through musical transcendence, while unexpected and unexplored places become a new layer of beauty.

Ghost Ensemble's Permutations performance will feature Martha Cargo (flute), Sky Macklay (oboe), Somna M Bulist (harp), Ben Richter (accordion), Joshua Morris (contrabass), Joe Tucker and Damon Loren Baker (percussion) and guests Russell O'Rourke (viola) and Ellery Trafford (percussion).
