enjoy a night of LIVE SOUL in a comfortable atmosphere with others who appreciate LIVE music. The Special Guest Performers are:

GORDON JAMES from Middlesex, NJ
Composer, flugelhornist and trumpeter GORDON JAMES, is a seasoned performer and bandleader. James has a unique style of music, blending the worlds of Jazz, Latin, R&B, Pop and hip hop music. James states, "my music is both funky and lyrical; the arrangements are hip and polished and the flugelhorn and muted trumpet are perfect for conveying the passion of my compositions". His latest cd "In Joy" is produced by Bob Baldwin and James Lloyd from Pieces of a Dream and features Chuck Loeb. He has appeared with and opened for artists such as Roy Ayers, Angela Bofill, Bobby Caldwell, Alex Bugnon, Pieces of a Dream, Chuck Loeb, Cassandra Wilson and many others.

JESSE BOYKINS III from Brooklyn, NY possesses a jazzy and soulful sound reminiscent of early R&B acts, but his production and writing are undeniably relevant today.
Recruited to attend The New School University in New York, Jesse perfected his skills as a writer, performer, arranger, producer and vocalist there. He also studied with classical trainer Kamal Scott and Universal recording artist Bilal. Although Jesse is only 23 years old, he's been singing, writing and recording for more than half of his life. His voice spans a 5-octave range and his sound draws upon his eclectic taste, creating a style that is not bound by generations or time.
